Find your Calm

Life is busy and chaotic and we are all just getting by on any given day. We feel burnt out, exhausted, deflated, suffocating under the expectations of others and those we place on ourselves.

We need to withdraw and take the time to restore our bodies, minds and spirit. It is not selfish to make time for yourself, but essential in our own personal wellbeing. It is easy to give up when all we really need to do is take the time to rest. We need to be whole not perfect.

Every day has 1,440 minutes. To take 30 of those minutes is insignificant but vital. to detach from the day. Find a place where you can Empty your mind and reflect for just a moment. Listen to some soulful music, say a prayer, See the beauty around you, the smells, the colours, the warmth of the sun on your face or the breeze rusting through the trees and blowing your hair.

Find a hobby that you in engage in even if it is once a week. Read, go for a hike, paint, cook or learn an instrument. Do something that fills your cup. Your body and mind will thank you for it.

The most important relationship we will ever have is the one we have with ourselves.

Let loving yourself become a lifelong romance.
